Tourism:
Capital Region Tourism (CRT) – is the regional Tourism Partnership (RTP) serving South East Wales. Visit Wales (formerly Wales Tourist Board) initiated the formation of 4 RTP’s across Wales to receive devolved resources and responsibilities for many aspects of tourism marketing and development. The Partners in CRT are all the local authorities and a broad spread of tourism, hospitality and leisure industry representatives from across the region. Southern Wales – is a consortium of Local Authorities in the South East of Wales. They work together to market and promote sustainable Travel Trade and consumer tourism, to Southern Wales through partnership, communication and maximising marketing opportunities. Southern Wales Events - is a website that has been developed by Tourism Wales on behalf of CRT. It collects all the events in the area into one site, which in turn feeds a variety of sites from Visit Cardiff and Southern Wales to Visit Wales and Visit Britain. Southern Wales Attractions Partnership - SWAP are a membership association of attractions and activities in the South of Wales that work together to promote and increase visitor numbers to their businesses, engender best practice and undertake collective research to better understand their markets. Visit Wales - Visit Wales is the new Welsh Assembly Government’s tourism team. They are responsible for the promotion and development of tourism in Wales. They can assist with advice for your tourism business and information, including the latest tourism industry news, star grading schemes, tourism grant schemes, tourism marketing campaigns, Wales tourism research, who’s who in the tourism industry in Wales.
